- Besides my academic/professional interests, I also enjoy doing other things. I really love latin dance such as Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. I used to be a very active dancer, not a professional one, but I really love dancing this kind of music.
- I am a fan of Cirque du Soleil. So far I have seen 21 different shows (30 if including repetitions) of this company in Chile and in the U.S. I also like collecting souvenirs from every show I see. My favorite show is Alegría.
- Another thing that I really enjoy is cooking. I don't practice this very often, but when I do it, it's a relaxing experience. In the last year I have been practicing a lot with different preparations of Sushi, which by the way I love it.
- I also love gymanstics and athletism. I used to practice these two sports for several years. For some reasons (most likely due to time) I stopped practicing it, but once in a while I just love doing some back flips :)
- Watching Movies or devouring tv series is one of the things that I love the most. I am honest, when it is not about science, I prefer the big screen.
- Maybe a little geek but one of my favorite activities is to develop software. Unfortunately research is very time consuming so software development (other than for data analysis) has become a luxury.
- I also like to travel. I will try to invest more time in this activity in the future. My last big adventure was in the U.S. where my wife and I travelled for more than 16,000 miles visiting places such as Chicago, National Parks, Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, Atlanta, San Antonio, and several National and State parks. This was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
- Finally, but not less important is my love for Video Games. Perhaps this is the main reason of my interest on computers in particular and technology in general. From an Atari 2600 to the latest generation of video games consoles, I have played hundreds of games. I am currently interested in developing my own games!
